1. Acceptance of TermsBy engaging Talus for legal services or accessing our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not accept these terms, you should not access our website or engage our services. These terms constitute a binding agreement between you and Talus.

2. Services DescriptionTalus provides professional legal advisory services in three core areas: Healthcare Regulatory Advisory, Secured Transaction Documentation, and Residential Conveyancing. All services are provided in accordance with Hong Kong law and applicable professional standards.

3. EligibilityYou represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are engaging services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

4. Service Delivery

• Services are delivered at the pace and timeline agreed with the client
• Engagement scope is determined in initial consultation
• Communication will be maintained throughout the matter
• Our adviser will explain legal implications and options clearly
• Client confidentiality is maintained at all times

5. Fees and Payment

• Fixed fees are quoted for each service: Healthcare Regulatory (HKD 7,020), Secured Transactions (HKD 5,460), Residential Conveyancing (HKD 3,900)
• Fees are due upon invoice unless other arrangement is agreed
• Payment methods will be discussed during initial engagement
• Late payment may result in suspension of services
• No refunds are available once services have been delivered

6. Client Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information and documentation
• Inform us promptly of any changes relevant to your matter
• Follow advice and guidance provided
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information shared
• Respond to communications in a timely manner

7. Intellectual Property RightsTalus retains all intellectual property rights in documents, methodologies, and advice provided. You may use these materials for the purpose of your engagement. Reproduction, distribution, or use for other purposes requires written permission.

8. Limitations of Liability

While Talus exercises professional care in all matters, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the service in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages arising from our advice or services.

9. No GuaranteesLegal advice and services are provided based on information available at the time. We cannot guarantee specific outcomes or results. Changes in law or circumstances may affect previous advice.

10. Confidentiality

• All client information is treated as confidential
• Professional confidentiality applies to all communications
• We comply with Hong Kong data protection legislation
• Information may be disclosed if required by law or professional obligation

11. Termination of Engagement

• Either party may terminate the engagement with written notice
• Outstanding fees remain due upon termination
• Client confidentiality continues after engagement ends
• Files will be retained according to professional obligations

12. Professional StandardsTalus is committed to maintaining the highest professional standards. All staff comply with Law Society of Hong Kong conduct requirements and applicable professional regulations.

13. Dispute Resolution

• Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be governed by Hong Kong law
• The parties agree to seek resolution through good faith discussion first
• If necessary, disputes may be referred to arbitration or mediation
• The exclusive jurisdiction for legal proceedings is Hong Kong

14. Website Use

• You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes
• You must not post inappropriate, illegal, or harmful content
• Unauthorized access to this website is prohibited
• We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms
